Outcome Goal:  At the end of this conference, the Advanced Practice Nurse will be able describe one evidence-based therapy or assessment strategy for the treatment of mental health diagnoses.

Measurement: Participants will be able to recall and describe one example of an evidence-based assessment strategy or therapeutic intervention from each presentation they attended. These evaluations will be completed during the 30 minutes allotted and submitted before participants are dismissed. 

 

Approval Statement: 

This nursing continuing professional development activity will be sumbitted to the Colorado Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

 

Criteria for Successful Completion:

• Attendance for 100% of each session (not missing more than 10 minutes).

• Contact hours will be awarded commensurate with the number of sessions completed.

• Completion and submission of an evaluation form

Contact Hours for this activity:

10-12 contact hours are available for RN participants for participation in all presentations and evaluation activities.

0.5 hours are allotted during the conference for the completion of the evaluation tool.

Pharmacology credit for this activity:  

Some presentations will be eligible for psychopharmacology credit.

Attendance:

To measure attendance for each session, sign in for Nursing Continuing Professional Development hours at the registration table.

 

Certificate:

In addition, record the sessions attended by initialing the space on the certificate beside the hours. Two copies of the certificate are provided in the conference packet. Completion of the professional development hours is noted on the certificate.  Initial the sessions attended and add up the total hours for continuing education for both copies. Keep the white copy for your records and return the colored copy to the registration desk. 

 

Evaluation:

Complete the evaluation form for each presenter and for the conference as a whole, and submit it to the registration desk at the end of the conference before you leave. Nursing Continuing Professional Development will be awarded for the sessions attended.
